I am a Materials Engineer at Swansea University with an interest in developing computational methods. My early career research primarily focused on characterising the high temperature (creep and fatigue) behaviour of nickel and titanium based alloys used in gas turbine aeroengines. I then used this understanding to develop computational models to predict component behaviour. More recently I have been developing range of other numerical methods such as a technique to optimise the weight of cars whilst maintaining crashworthiness using high performance computing (HPC).
